Few facts about about Finnish language

Finnish is a Finno-Ugric language and one of the official languages of Finland, spoken natively by around 4.9 million people. Although Finland is geographically part of the Nordic region, Finnish is not closely related to the Scandinavian languages — instead, it belongs to the same language family as Estonian and Karelian.

Finnish is an agglutinative language: words are formed by adding endings and suffixes to a base word, which gives the language a lot of expressive power. Finnish is also known for its rich case system, but at the same time the word order is relatively flexible, which actually makes forming sentences easier once you understand the structure.
